Why Club Esteem is Important

We Change Lives

Club Esteem offers a proven alternative for children, youth and teens. Beyond serving a significant role by simply offering youth a safe haven and a place to go for after school activities and homework tutoring; Club Esteem understands that we must also provide enhanced academic curriculum in the most fundamental academic areas. Our programs offer children, youth and teens opportunities to learn new skills such as conflict resolution, prepare for a successful career, improve grades and develop relationships with caring adults. We offer alternatives to the statistics that would write our youth off.

With academic excellence there must be balance. There must be learning in non-traditional situations and environments. Our programs are made up of many different opportunities for learning, based on what we know about kids, not just kids growing up in economically disadvantaged communities. Club Esteem’s programs are comprised of After School Academic Excellence and Achievement, Life Skill and Social Skill Development, Leadership Development, High-School and College Preparation, exposure to the broader world, community service and other enrichment activities such as the arts (performing and visual).

Club Esteem exists as a beacon of light and hope not just for children, teens, and families looking to find a path to succeed in life, but also for the people of Brevard County who can help fill them with the hope and determination they will need along the way.

For children, youth, and teens ages 6 -18, living in and around economically-disadvantaged, predominantly African-American communities of South Melbourne, Club Esteem provides an environment of learning, growing, and caring where youth are challenged to embrace excellence and reach their highest potential.
